Description: Clawdeen Wolf, a biracial half-werewolf and half-human girl, was raised by her human father, Apollo, after her werewolf mother, Selena, passed away under unknown circumstances. Due to her mixed heritage, Clawdeen has spent her life hiding her true nature from humans. On her 15th birthday, she receives an invitation to attend Monster High, a school for monsters that her mother once attended. Despite initial hesitation, Apollo allows her to go but warns her to conceal her human side, as humans are seen as a threat to monsters, and only “true monster hearts” are welcome at the school.
At Monster High, a living and dynamic institution, Clawdeen finally feels a sense of belonging. She befriends Frankie Stein, a 15-day-old non-binary Frankenmonster with a brilliant mind crafted from various brain parts, and develops feelings for Deuce Gorgon, the son of Medusa and Lyra. She also meets other notable students, including Draculaura, the daughter of Dracula, who is under pressure to excel academically, Cleo de Nile, the Mummy’s daughter and the school’s popular Queen Bee, Lagoona Blue, the Colombian daughter of a Sea Monster and a Sea Nymph, and Ghoulia Yelps, a zombie who helps her settle into her dormitory. Headmistress Bloodgood invites Clawdeen to speak at a Founder’s Day dinner on behalf of the students, a request she accepts.
Throughout her time at Monster High, Clawdeen discovers a unique challenge: she temporarily transforms into a full human when experiencing intense emotions like fear or nervousness. As she navigates her new life, she must balance her dual identity while forming friendships and facing the complexities of monster high school.
