Description: Mon Amour: Shesher Kobita Revisited is a reimagined take on a classic love triangle, inspired by Shesher Kobita. The story revolves around Amit, portrayed by Saheb Chatterjee, a renowned international film director. He is set to create a film titled Mon Amour, produced by a French company, which modernizes Tagore’s novel in contemporary Kolkata. Amit returns to Kolkata from London on a short sabbatical.
The film features Lavanya, who holds dual identities. As Brishti, played by Rituparna Sengupta, she is a high school literature teacher. In Amit’s fictional world of dreams and memories, she becomes Tilottama. Another key character is Indrajeet, portrayed by Tota Roychoudhury, an industrialist whom Brishti marries after feeling abandoned by Amit when he left for London to pursue filmmaking.
The narrative unfolds in Amit’s rented Kolkata apartment, where the three characters reunite. While Amit claims to be in the city to prepare for his new film, his true motive is to reconnect with his past involving Brishti, explore his present with Tilottama, and mend his friendship with Indrajeet.
