Storyline:
The story begins with a container of toxic liquid spilling from a transport vehicle at a chemical laboratory in Ooty. A stray dog consumes the liquid and becomes violent, biting a security guard who then transforms into a zombie within hours. This incident triggers a chain of infections through bites, spreading chaos.
In the present day, Karthik, a traffic police sub-inspector in Ooty, leads a cautious life while caring for his younger sister Vidhya, a teenager. Orphaned, they live with Karthik’s friend Chinnamalai, a traffic constable. Karthik is secretly in love with Renuka (Renu), a cardiologist who is engaged to Naveen, an NRI and fellow doctor.
One day, Karthik angers Minister Gurumoorthy by allowing an auto carrying pregnant women to pass in the minister’s way. The following morning, Vidhya goes missing. As Karthik searches for her, he is attacked by zombies. Meanwhile, the Ooty police are informed of a zombie outbreak and ordered to shoot anyone infected.
While searching for Vidhya, Karthik places missing posters and fights off zombies. He receives a call directing him to a location where he finds Renu and a group of doctors, led by chief doctor Dharan, working on a zombie cure. At Renu’s house, Karthik and Chinnamalai discover that Minister Gurumoorthy, Renu’s father, has kidnapped Vidhya for revenge. Karthik eventually finds Vidhya at a swimming pool, surrounded by the minister’s zombified henchmen, and learns that zombies are allergic to water.
