Description: In the picturesque valleys of France, a courageous newly hatched male ladybug named Cox faces constant bullying from a group of flies led by the mischievous Toofette. Desperate to escape, Cox attempts to fly away but is pursued by the flies. During the chase, he crashes into a rock and falls into a crevice, knocking himself unconscious and losing a wing in the process. Stranded and unable to fly, Cox takes shelter in a tin can overnight, unaware that it’s filled with sugar cubes from an abandoned kitchen left behind by its owners, who moved to the city for the arrival of their new baby.
The next morning, various insects are scavenging the kitchen’s remains when Cox, now an adult, wakes up and joins the heist. A group of black ants discovers the kitchen and begins transporting the tin can, with Cox still inside. They allow him to accompany them back to their bustling nest. Along the way, the black ants encounter a patrol of aggressive red ants led by the menacing Butor. Despite the black ants offering a sugar cube as a gesture of peace, the red ants demand the rest of the sugar and chase them relentlessly.
The black ants manage to escape by sliding down a slope into a river, riding atop the tin can. During the chaotic journey, Cox falls into the water and is rescued by the ants from a hungry pike named Boboche. Meanwhile, the red ants pursue them downstream in a soda can. Both groups plunge over a waterfall, with the tin can washing ashore while the soda can and Boboche sink to the riverbed. The black ants recover the sugar cubes and continue their journey back to their nest, while Butor, separated from his patrol, ventures alone to locate the anthill and report back to his colony.
