**Storyline:**
The Minions are small, yellow creatures that have existed since the beginning of time. They evolved from single-celled organisms into beings dedicated to serving history’s most evil masters. However, they accidentally caused the demise of all their masters, including a Tyrannosaurus, a caveman, a Pharaoh, and even Count Dracula. After firing a cannon at Napoleon during their time in Russia, they went into isolation, living in a cave for years. Over time, the Minions grew sad and unmotivated without a master to serve.
To regain their purpose, a Minion named Kevin decides to find a new leader. He teams up with two other Minions, Stuart and Bob, and sets off on a journey. In 1968, they arrive in New York City, where they spend the night in a department store. By chance, they stumble upon a hidden broadcast advertising Villain-Con, a convention for villains and supervillains in Orlando.
The next day, the trio hitchhikes with the Nelsons, a family of thieves, to the convention. There, they meet Scarlet Overkill, a famous and ambitious supervillainess. She hires them and takes them to her home in England. Scarlet assigns them a mission to steal the Imperial State Crown from Queen Elizabeth II, promising a reward for success and threatening their lives if they fail.
Herb, Scarlet’s husband, provides the Minions with gadgets to assist in the heist. However, their mission goes awry when Bob accidentally pulls the Sword in the Stone during an escape, removing the Queen from her throne and becoming king himself. Furious that her dream of taking the throne was achieved by someone else, Scarlet confronts the Minions.
Bob abdicates the throne in her favor, but Scarlet imprisons the trio in a dungeon. Herb attempts to torture them, but they escape and try to apologize to Scarlet. The Minions’ adventure continues as they navigate challenges to survive and find their true purpose.
