Description: Set in a small-town, middle-class environment, the film follows Yudi Sharma (Prit Kamani), who believes every middle-class family suffers from a dangerous condition called “middleclassosis,” where life revolves around saving money and never being “cool.” Yudi dreams of a richer, more fulfilling life. To achieve this, he aims for a VIP ticket, which he secures by getting into an elite university and dating the wealthy and beautiful Sysha Oberoi (Kavya Thapar). However, life takes unexpected turns. While Yudi gets into his dream college, Sysha seems out of his league. The introduction of Aisha Tripathi (Eisha Singh) adds complexity, raising questions of a love triangle or deeper, hidden truths.
Directed by Ratnaa Sinha, known for “Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana” (2017), the film blends romance, friendship, and drama to create an engaging story. The first half is light and breezy, but the second half shifts into emotional turmoil with heartbreaks and revelations. Though the screenplay targets a youthful audience, it offers little novelty, feeling like a mix of familiar rom-com and bromance themes.
The film’s visual appeal is boosted by the picturesque Mussoorie locations and strong production design, overseen by Ratnaa’s husband, Anubhav Sinha, director of “Anek.” While entertaining, the movie struggles to bring fresh ideas to the genre.
