Description: The 2002 Bollywood film *Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai* follows the story of Sanjay Malhotra (Uday Chopra), who lives in Mumbai with his close friend Riya (Bipasha Basu). His life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a call from his childhood friend Anjali Sharma (Tulip Joshi), who announces her upcoming marriage. Determined to disrupt the marriage, he schemes to sabotage the union. He organizes a bachelor party for Rohit and the other male family members, leaving Rohit heavily intoxicated. Realizing Sanjay’s intentions, Rohit vows to ensure the wedding goes as planned.
With Riya’s help, Sanjay attempts to make Anjali jealous, hoping she will realize her feelings for him. At the Mehendi ceremony, Riya reveals to Anjali that she and Sanjay were never romantically involved. Anjali confesses that she has always loved Sanjay but felt he only saw her as a friend. Heartbroken, Rohit steps aside, acknowledging that Anjali’s heart truly belongs to Sanjay.
Learning of Sanjay’s absence from the wedding, Anjali rushes to Mumbai in her bridal attire to confront him. Sanjay finally confesses his love, declaring he cannot bear to see her marry someone else. The two reunite, expressing their mutual affection. Despite losing the challenge, Rohit is happy for the couple. Sanjay and Anjali marry, with Rohit and Riya celebrating as their closest friends.
