Description: Professor Asimavo Bose, a renowned writer, vanishes under suspicious conditions. Everyone close to him, including his wife Indrani, son Wrik, step-daughter Guli, assistant Elena, and nephew Dheeman, harbors hidden motives that could be tied to his disappearance. Asimavo, once a political activist in his youth, carries secrets from his dark past. The only lead in this perplexing case is a copy of *Meghnad Badh Kavya*, which he received anonymously on his birthday. The central questions remain: Who is responsible? How did it happen? And most importantly, why?
The film begins with a gripping chase scene where British police locate and kill a freedom fighter named Arindam in an abandoned mansion. In a visually striking moment, Arindam falls into a river, his arms outstretched, creating a silver web-like ripple on the water’s surface. The story then transitions to the present day, where actor Goutam Halder delivers a powerful theatrical performance of Madhusudan Dutta’s *Meghnadbadh Kabya*, emphasizing the line, “Mari ori, pari je koushole (I’ll kill the enemy by any means).”
Ashimava Bose, an Indo-Anglian science fiction writer and Oxford professor, visits Kolkata to launch the Bengali translation of his book, *Big Bong Theory*, translated by Elina Roy. Known jokingly as Asimov Bose among friends, he is married to Indrani, a National Award-winning actress. During their stay in Kolkata, several characters, including filmmaker Kunal, become part of their lives. As the plot unfolds, the mystery deepens, but it becomes clear that the film is about much more than just suspense.
