Description: In London, an unseen criminal begins to orchestrate his “perfect plot on paper,” starting with a robbery. Three cats steal a pink diamond, but they are spotted by constables who give chase. The cats escape to the rooftops, disappearing into the night and handing the stolen diamond to a mysterious horseman. The next day, Dr. Watson rushes to 221B Baker Street to inform his colleague, Sherlock Holmes, about the robbery.
Holmes calls Jerry Mouse to fetch a copy of *The Times*. On his way, Jerry bumps into Tom Cat, who has something for Holmes. After a brief chase, Jerry returns to Holmes’ flat with the newspaper, or what remains of it. Holmes and Watson read a letter Tom had delivered, leading them to visit the Bruce Nigel theatre to meet a woman named Red, who is being blackmailed. Holmes suspects the mastermind behind the blackmail might be Professor Moriarty.
Holmes deduces that the Star of Punjab, a diamond sensitive to the light of a solar eclipse, is the next target of the criminal. At the Punjab Embassy, Spike and Tyke are assigned to guard the diamond. While Spike teaches Tyke how to be a good guard, the three cats manage to steal the diamond unnoticed. They escape through a tunnel, leaving Holmes, Tom, and Jerry to investigate the scene.
Holmes and Watson leave to trace the origin of a button found at the scene, while Tom and Jerry are tasked with escorting Red to Holmes’ flat. Their adventure continues as they unravel the mystery behind the theft.
