Description: **Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015) – Hindi Full Movie in 720p and 480p**
**Storyline:**
In the 1960s, Dashrath Manjhi (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui) lived in the small village of Gehlaur near Gaya, Bihar, India, with his family, including his wife, Phaguniya Devi (Radhika Apte). A massive rocky mountain near their village posed a significant obstacle, forcing villagers to either climb over it or travel around it to access essential services like medical care in the nearest town, Wazirganj. One day, Manjhi’s wife suffered a fall while attempting to cross the mountain. This tragic incident inspired Manjhi to carve a road through the mountain to make the journey safer and easier for everyone.
Initially, people mocked him and called him a lunatic, but their ridicule only strengthened his determination. After 22 years of relentless hard work, Manjhi successfully carved a path that was 360 feet long, 25 feet deep in some areas, and 30 feet wide.
Manjhi passed away on August 17, 2007, at the age of 73, while battling gall bladder cancer at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. The Government of Bihar honored him with a state funeral. A postscript in the film reveals that 52 years after he began his work, 30 years after completing it, and 4 years after his death, the government finally constructed a paved road to Gehlaur in 2011.
*Spoiler Alert* (for those who have seen the movie):
Manjhi’s wife, Phaguniya, meets with an accident on the Gehlaur mountain while heavily pregnant. Manjhi rushes her to the hospital, where she gives birth to a baby girl but tragically dies. Later, Manjhi’s efforts gain recognition after a chance meeting with Indira Gandhi, and he is awarded a grant of Rs. 25 lakhs for his work. However, corrupt officials and a zamindar’s henchman divert the funds, and Manjhi never receives the money.
