**Plot Summary:**
Frank Zito, a schizophrenic man, takes over his family’s mannequin restoration business after his mother’s death. Traumatized as a child by his mother, a prostitute who forced him to witness her interactions with clients, Frank now struggles with violent tendencies. He murders women, scalps them, and attaches their hair to mannequins, recreating his only happy childhood memory: brushing his mother’s hair before she left for work at night.
Frank’s life takes a turn when he meets Anna, a photographer who admires his work with mannequins. They develop a friendship, and Frank begins to fall in love with her, even taking medication to suppress his violent urges. However, his darker impulses resurface, leading to further killings.
At an art exhibit organized by Anna, Frank faces ridicule from her boyfriend and mentor, triggering his rage.
