Description: Nancy, a 34-year-old journalist, has faced a streak of unsuccessful dates over the past fours years. Encouraged by her sister to keep trying, she attends her friend’s engagement party, where an awkward blind date leaves her disheartened. Later, she travels to London to celebrate her parents’ 40th anniversary. On the train, she meets Jessica, a lively younger woman heading to her own blind date inspired by a book titled *Six Billion People and You*. Jessica shares her optimism about love, while Nancy expresses her skepticism. When Jessica gets off at London Waterloo station, she leaves her book behind, prompting Nancy to chase after her. However, Jessica disappears into a bookstore, leaving Nancy holding the book.
Jack, Jessica’s blind date, mistakes Nancy for Jessica due to the book. Before Nancy can clarify, Jack’s charm wins her over, leading her to impulsively play along with the mistaken identity. Despite the lie, the two quickly connect. Jack, a 40-year-old divorced online marketing manager, and Nancy spend the day bonding over drinks and bowling. However, their newfound connection is tested when Nancy encounters Sean, a former classmate and stalker who works at the bowling alley. Sean discovers Nancy’s deception and tries to blackmail her into an awkward situation.
When Jack catches them in a compromising position in the bathroom, Nancy confesses the truth. This revelation sparks a heated argument as they critique each other’s life choices and decisions. Their day of unexpected chemistry takes a challenging turn, leaving their connection uncertain.
