Description: The film “Maha” begins with the protagonist, Maha, confiding in her boyfriend, Malik, about being harassed by some men. When the harassers confront them, Malik steps in to fight them off. The story then shifts to a mysterious man sitting in a blood-filled room with an unconscious girl. Soon after, the police discover the body of an eight-year-old girl outside a building, followed by another kidnapping and murder. Maha, a mother to a young daughter named Aishu, sends her child to school. Meanwhile, a doctor assisting ACP Vikram suggests the killer might be a medical professional, as all evidence of semen has been meticulously removed from the victims’ bodies after multiple assaults. Constable Alex Pandian aids Vikram in the investigation.
One day, Aishu’s school bus breaks down on the way home, and the conductor escorts her part of the way before returning to the bus, leaving her to walk alone. When Maha realizes Aishu hasn’t returned, she contacts the school, only to discover that both the conductor and driver have vanished. Aishu has been abducted by the killer. Maha reports the disappearance to ACP Vikram. Later, the killer tricks Maha by calling her away from her home, allowing him to delete CCTV footage. Maha then receives a call instructing her to bring cash to a specific location.
A month later, Alex Pandian’s granddaughter goes missing. His daughter follows the killer’s demands, taking money to a building, but the killer attempts to escape with the cash. Vikram apprehends the killer, unmasking him to reveal Alex Pandian’s face. The scene transitions to Maha standing atop a building, smiling as she looks down. The film then delves into Maha’s past, showing her loving relationship with Malik, a pilot. When Maha discovers she is pregnant, Malik leaves for a flight, only for his plane to disappear over the Arabian Sea. The story concludes with Maha grieving the loss of her daughter, Aishu.
