Description: In “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” the story continues as the penguins—Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private—along with the chimpanzees Mason and Phil, leave Africa for Monte Carlo in their customized airplane. When they don’t return, Alex the lion persuades his friends Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippopotamus to find them and head back to their home at the Central Park Zoo. Joined by their lemur companions—King Julien, Maurice, and Mort—they locate the penguins and chimpanzees at the Monte Carlo Casino. Chaos erupts, and the animals narrowly escape Animal Control officer Chantel DuBois, who is determined to add Alex’s head to her taxidermy collection.
After their plane crashes, the animals board a circus train. The circus animals—Stefano the sea lion, Gia the jaguar, and Vitaly the tiger—are wary of outsiders, so Alex lies, claiming they are American circus performers. The circus is en route to performances in Rome and London, aiming to impress an American promoter for a potential U.S. tour. To avoid suspicion, the penguins buy the circus from its human ringmaster. In Rome, Alex becomes infatuated with Gia, while King Julien falls for Sonya, a performing bear. DuBois pursues them but fails, leading to her arrest.
The Rome performance turns into a disaster as the animals’ acts fall apart, angering the audience. Stefano reveals to Alex that the circus was once famed, with Vitaly as its star, known for his daring hoop-jumping acts. However, an accident involving flaming hoops and olive oil caused Vitaly to lose his passion, leading to the circus’s decline.
