Description: Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022) is an American live-action and computer-animated musical comedy film directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon. Young Josh Primm is initially scared of his new environment and struggles to make friends at school. One night, he discovers the now fully grown Lyle living in the attic. The two quickly bond, especially after Lyle saves Josh from a mugger and reveals his singing ability. Over time, Josh’s parents also overcome their initial fear of the crocodile, forming a unique connection with Lyle through shared interests.
Released in the United States on October 7, 2022, the film grossed $51 million worldwide and received mixed to positive reviews. Critics particularly praised the visual effects, Shawn Mendes’ vocal performance, and Javier Bardem’s acting.
