Description: “Look Both Ways,” released in 2022, explores the life of Natalie (Lili Reinhart) on the verge of her college graduation. After spending a night with her friend Gabe (Danny Ramirez), Natalie’s life takes a dramatic turn. Feeling unwell, her best friend Cara (Aisha Dee) suggests a pregnancy test, which leads to two parallel realities based on the result.
In one scenario, Natalie’s test is positive. She moves back home with her parents (Andrea Savage and Luke Wilson), who are less than supportive, especially when Gabe proposes prematurely. Despite the challenges, Natalie strives to balance her career in animation with the responsibilities of motherhood.
In the alternate reality, the test is negative. Natalie moves to Los Angeles with Cara to pursue her career. She lands a job as an assistant to animator Lucy Galloway (Nia Long) and forms a close bond with her colleague Jake (David Corenswet). Together, they encourage each other to chase their dreams, with Jake aspiring to become a successful producer.
In the pregnancy reality, Natalie and Gabe struggle to co-parent their daughter, Rosie. Gabe wants Natalie to move in with him, but she rejects the idea and insists he date someone else. When Gabe meets Miranda, Natalie feels jealous. While visiting Cara in Los Angeles, Natalie learns that Rosie has been left with Miranda’s sister, leading to distrust. Gabe eventually proposes to Miranda, pushing Natalie to focus on her career as a coping mechanism.
In the other reality, Natalie and Jake’s relationship deepens, and they consider moving in together, supporting each other’s ambitions.
