Lionel Andrés “Leo” Messi, born on June 24, 1987, is an Argentine professional footballer. He plays as a forward for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 and captains the Argentina national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Messi has won a record six Ballon d’Or awards, six European Golden Shoes, and was named to the Ballon d’Or Dream Team in 2020.
