Description: The Flash joins the Justice League as the Joker unleashes chaos in Metropolis by poisoning the city with his Joker gas and reshaping the Daily Planet. Arriving late after stopping for food and capturing Captain Cold and Captain Boomerang, Flash faces criticism from the League for his impulsive actions. A mysterious yellow speedster mocks Flash’s speed, leading to a chase. Flash later wakes up to find himself reliving the same day, realizing he has traveled back in time. With this knowledge, he stops the Joker, but the yellow speedster challenges him again, trapping him in a time loop. Flash repeatedly chases the speedster and prevents that day’s crimes. Batman offers advice, but the yellow speedster continues to outpace Flash. In a final effort, Flash pushes his abilities to the limit in a dimensional gateway, breaking the loop.
Back in Central City, Flash loses his powers and faces public backlash. The Justice League expels him after he’s framed for pranking them. The yellow speedster reveals himself as the Reverse Flash, a time traveler from the future who envies Flash’s fame and seeks to steal it. Shrunk to atomic size, Atom overhears Reverse Flash’s plan but is trapped when his suit malfunctions. Atom eventually frees Flash and contacts Doctor Fate to restore his powers. While Flash regains his abilities with Doctor Fate’s help, Atom returns to the Hall of Justice to warn the League. Reverse Flash, however, outshines the Justice League by performing heroic acts faster than them, winning public admiration and forcing the League to announce their retirement.
