Description: The film “Last Seen Alive” (2022) begins with Detective Paterson confronting Knuckles about a kidnapping, threatening him with life imprisonment. As the detective tightens his grip, Knuckles confesses, “She’s dead.” The story then shifts to wealthy real estate agent Will Spann and his wife Lisa, who are en route to her parents’ house. Lisa seeks some time alone, but before arriving, they stop for gas, and she goes inside to buy water.
As Lisa exits the store, she encounters a man, but a large white truck blocks their interaction from view. Will finishes refueling and searches for Lisa but cannot find her. Frantic, he calls her phone, questions bystanders, and ultimately contacts the police to report her disappearance. He then heads to her parents’ house, where tensions rise as he explains the situation.
Through a flashback, it becomes clear that Lisa had suggested taking time apart from Will, unable to explain her growing detachment from their marriage. Will returns to the gas station and meets Detective Paterson, who questions the clerk, Oscar, about security footage. However, Oscar claims the cameras are not functional. The mystery deepens as Will desperately searches for answers about Lisa’s disappearance.
