The story revolves around Shakthi (Atharvaa), a hospital attendant, whose life takes a dangerous turn after a confrontation with Arivu (Prakash Raghavan), the son of Durai (Radha Ravi) and a key associate of the influential Madurai kingpin Gandhimathi (Radhika Sarathkumar). This clash, however, earns Shakthi the friendship of Gandhimathi’s son, Muthu (Kanna Ravi), who works to resolve the conflict and repeatedly saves Shakthi from harm.
Amidst the tension, Shakthi forms a heartwarming bond with Kanmani, a young girl battling a severe illness in the hospital. Just as Shakthi begins to envision a brighter future with his loved ones, tragedy strikes with the untimely death of Muthu, shattering his dreams. Now, Shakthi must confront the criminals responsible for his friend’s demise while also ensuring the safety of the vulnerable Kanmani.
*Kuruthi Aattam* stands out for its engaging screenplay and well-developed characters. Each individual has a backstory that unfolds gradually, keeping the audience invested. Although the film introduces multiple characters early on, the narrative skillfully reveals their connections and mysteries over time, making it a gripping watch.
