The story follows Haripada Patra, affectionately known as Kolkata’s Harry, played by Chakraborty. He transforms from a school bus driver into the owner of Kolkata’s first storytelling café. In flashbacks, Hari is shown turning his school bus into a magical realm called Abbulish, inspired by the Harry Potter series. He creates a unique code of conduct for the children who ride his bus, earning their admiration and the nickname “Captain.” Along the journey, Hari captivates the kids with enchanting stories while subtly imparting valuable life lessons.
Titli, played by Oishika Guhathakurta, becomes Hari’s favorite, whom he calls “Pari.” Titli’s mother, portrayed by Laboni Sarkar, is portrayed as an abusive parent who pressures her daughter academically and physically. Finding comfort in Captain’s presence, Titli memorizes his mantras to cope with her struggles. However, her growing fascination with Harry Potter and fantasy leads her mother to blame Hari for distracting her from studies, further escalating tensions and making Hari’s life difficult.
