Description: Kolamavu Kokila 2018 is a gripping film that follows the story of Kokila, played by Nayanthara, as she navigates the dangerous world of drug smuggling. Initially struggling to find a job to support her family, Kokila stumbles upon a cocaine smuggling operation run by Mohan. When her mother is diagnosed with lung cancer, Kokila is forced to join Mohan’s network. Her cleverness and resourcefulness quickly earn her a reputation in the business.
As the story progresses, a determined police inspector, Guru, starts cracking down on drug dealers. Despite several close calls, Kokila manages to evade the authorities. After convincing Mohan to eliminate two of his suspicious henchmen, she decides to leave the trade. However, Mohan attempts to assault her, and Kokila fights back. While attempting to escape with her family, she is intercepted by Bobi, the man who initially brought her into the business. He pressures her into delivering one last shipment of 100 kilos of cocaine to Alphonse. Kokila reluctantly agrees and enlists her family’s assistance, with Shekhar and Lakshman Kumar unknowingly joining their mission.
Kokila successfully delivers the shipment, but it’s revealed she replaced most of the cocaine with salt. She then tricks Bobi into betraying Bhai, the drug lord, and frames him for stealing from Bhai. Bobi is killed, and Kokila continues the delivery. On the way, she is captured by what appear to be Alphonse’s men, who are actually undercover police officers. With her family’s help, she escapes and eliminates her captors. Inspector Guru eventually tracks her down and arrests her, but Kokila strikes a deal with him to bring down Bhai and dismantle the drug network. The plan succeeds, Bhai is killed, and Kokila and her family avoid prosecution. In the end, they start a legitimate business selling Kolam powder, naming it ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’.
