**Storyline:**
Set in 1933 during the Great Depression, the story follows Ann Darrow, a New York City actress hired by filmmaker Carl Denham for his financially troubled project. Accompanied by actor Bruce Baxter, Ann discovers her favorite playwright, Jack Driscoll, is the screenwriter. The filming begins aboard the SS Venture, captained by Englehorn, initially believed to be headed to Singapore. However, Carl secretly plans to reach the mysterious Skull Island.
During the journey, Ann and Jack develop feelings for each other. The captain receives a radio message revealing Carl is wanted for defying the studio’s orders to halt production. Despite instructions to divert to Rangoon, the ship gets lost in fog and washes ashore on Skull Island. Exploring the island, the crew faces attacks from hostile natives, resulting in casualties. While attempting to escape, Ann is kidnapped by the natives and offered as a sacrifice to King Kong, a massive 25-foot-tall gorilla.
Jack and the crew return to rescue Ann but find she has been taken by Kong. Carl, determined to capture the giant gorilla on film, leads the pursuit. Initially terrified, Ann gradually bonds with Kong through her juggling and dancing, recognizing his intelligence and emotions. A rescue mission organized by Englehorn encounters dangers, including encounters with prehistoric creatures, leading to further losses.
