Description: In 1980, a group of mercenaries—Danny Bryce, Hunter, Davies, and Meier—are in Mexico to assassinate a target. During the mission, Danny is shot when he becomes distracted after realizing he killed the man in front of the target’s young child. Deeply affected by this experience, Danny decides to retire and return to his home in Australia.
The following year, Danny is called to Oman to meet a handler known as The Agent. He discovers that Hunter failed to complete a $6 million job and that if Danny doesn’t finish the mission, Hunter will be executed. Sheikh Amr, a deposed king of a small region in Oman, tasks Danny with eliminating three former SAS troopers—Steven Harris, Warwick Cregg, and Simon McCann—who killed his three eldest sons during the Dhofar Rebellion. Danny must obtain their confessions on video and stage their deaths to look like accidents, all before the terminally ill sheikh passes away. This will allow the sheikh’s fourth son, Bakhait, to reclaim control of the region. Davies and Meier agree to assist Danny in exchange for a share of the payment.
Danny and Meier track down Harris, who is still living in Oman. They pose as documentary researchers to gain access to his home. After obtaining his recorded confession, they take him to the bathroom to stage his death as an accident. However, Harris’s girlfriend interrupts, and during the chaos, Harris tries to escape, prompting Meier to shoot him.
Meanwhile, in England, Davies visits a pub frequented by British military personnel to gather information about former SAS members in Oman. His inquiries alert the Feather Men, a secret society of former operatives dedicated to protecting their own. Their head enforcer, Spike Logan, is sent to investigate.
Davies locates Cregg, who is preparing for a nighttime march in the harsh winter conditions of the Brecon Beacons mountain range. Disguised in a military uniform, Danny infiltrates the base and drugs Cregg’s coffee. He follows Cregg on the march, forces him to confess, and ensures the drug induces shock, leading Cregg to die from hypothermia.
