Description: A woman in a wedding dress, known as the Bride, lies injured in a chapel in El Paso, Texas, after being attacked by the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. She informs their leader, Bill, of her pregnancy with his child before he shoots her in the head. Four years later, the Bride, having survived the attack, tracks down Vernita Green, a former member of the disbanded Deadly Vipers, who now lives a suburban life. The two engage in a knife fight, interrupted by Vernita’s young daughter, Nikki. They agree to settle their conflict later that night, but Vernita attempts to shoot the Bride using a hidden pistol. The Bride retaliates by fatally stabbing Vernita with a knife. Witnessing the event, Nikki is told by the Bride that she can seek revenge when she is older.
Earlier, police investigate the wedding chapel massacre and discover the Bride alive but in a coma. In the hospital, Deadly Viper member Elle Driver prepares to kill the Bride with a lethal injection, but Bill calls off the plan, deeming it dishonorable to kill her while defenseless. The Bride eventually wakes from her four-year coma, devastated to find she is no longer pregnant. She kills a man attempting to assault her and a hospital worker who exploited her during her coma. After stealing the worker’s truck, she relearns to walk. Determined to seek revenge, the Bride sets her sights on her first target: O-Ren Ishii, now the leader of the Tokyo yakuza.
