Description: Thirteen-year-old Kiki, following the tradition of young witches, leaves her home with her talking black cat, Jiji. She flies on her broomstick to the port city of Koriko, where she meets Tombo, a boy fascinated by aviation who admires her flying skills. Kiki finds accommodation with Osono, a kind bakery owner, in exchange for her help. She starts a “Witch Delivery Service,” transporting goods on her broomstick.
Her first delivery encounters trouble when she loses the item in the wind, but with the help of Ursula, a young painter, Kiki retrieves it and completes the delivery. Meanwhile, she grows closer to Tombo, despite some awkward moments with his friends.
Later, Kiki faces a personal crisis after a delivery mishap leaves her doubting herself. She loses her ability to fly and can no longer understand Jiji, who begins spending time with another cat. Ursula encourages Kiki to find new inspiration to regain her powers.
A turning point comes when Kiki witnesses a news report about an airship accident, with Tombo in danger. Determined to help, Kiki rediscovers her purpose and rescues him, marking a new chapter in her journey.
