Description: Kabir Walia, a struggling novelist, retreats to Kashmir after his career and relationship with Simran fall apart, hoping to find inspiration for a new story. During his journey, he stays at a guesthouse owned by the enigmatic Meera Sharma, who is married to the bedridden Jaidev Dhanrajgir. On his first night, Kabir encounters strange apparitions and becomes drawn to Meera, discovering she hasn’t left the house in two years.
Falling for her, Kabir attempts to help Meera escape, but an eerie force causes their car to crash. Determined to uncover the truth, Kabir seeks the help of a tantrik, who reveals an evil spirit haunts the house—that of Jaidev, who is actually deceased. Kabir recalls Meera speaking in a man’s voice on the phone and never seeing Jaidev in person. Suspicious, he sneaks into Jaidev’s room, only to find him asleep. Angered, Meera demands Kabir leave.
Kabir returns to apologize and writes a heartfelt poem for Meera, who reciprocates his feelings with a kiss. She confesses her dark past: two years ago, she was involved in a hit-and-run and fled to Kashmir, where she met and married Jaidev, a wealthy industrialist. One night, she discovered him performing a ritual sacrifice to the devil. Terrified, she tried to flee, but during a struggle, Jaidev fell from the balcony and became paralyzed. He later took his own life, leaving a letter that binds Meera to the house forever. He warned that if she ever tried to leave, his lawyer would reveal her involvement in both his death and the hit-and-run. Trapped, Meera has been living with Jaidev’s vengeful spirit, deceiving the world into believing her husband is still alive.
