**Storyline:**
Rohit and his younger brother Amit are orphans raised in India by their affectionate aunt and uncle, Lily and Anthony. Rohit aspires to be a singer but works as a salesman at a car showroom owned by Malik. One day, while delivering a car to Sonia Saxena, the daughter of wealthy Mr. Saxena, Rohit meets her for the first time. Unbeknownst to everyone, Malik is secretly involved in a drug cartel with the help of two corrupt police officers.
Rohit and Sonia cross paths again at her birthday celebration on a beach. After Rohit performs a song for her, he is invited to sing on a cruise. During the festivities, both Rohit and Sonia get drunk and accidentally fall into a lifeboat, which drifts away from the ship. They end up stranded on an island for several days, during which their initial arguments turn into love. Upon being rescued by Sonia’s father, Mr. Saxena, he disapproves of their relationship due to their different social standings. Rohit is subsequently fired from his job by Malik.
Determined to prove his worth, Rohit convinces Mr. Saxena that if he becomes successful, he will earn the right to marry Sonia. With the support of his friends, Rohit works hard to secure a record deal and eventually gains local fame as a singer. He prepares to host a concert to showcase his talent.
However, on the day of the show, Rohit witnesses Malik and the corrupt officers killing a commissioner who had discovered their drug operations. After realizing Rohit has seen them, they shoot him and chase him onto a bridge. Saxena, now revealed to be part of the cartel, orders Rohit’s death. In the ensuing pursuit, Rohit’s motorcycle is knocked off the bridge, causing him to fall into the river. Unable to swim, he tragically drowns.
