Description: Sunil (Shah Rukh Khan) dreams of marrying the woman he loves, Anna (Suchitra Krishnamurthy), but his sister (Sadiya Siddiqui) wakes him up, pulling him back to reality. Sunil is a carefree and cheerful young man with a passion for music but little interest in academics, much to the disappointment of his father, Vinayak (Anjan Srivastav). Despite others dismissing him as aimless, Father Braganza (Naseeruddin Shah) recognizes Sunil’s good heart and potential.
Sunil, Anna, and Chris (Deepak Tijori) are part of a six-member music band aspiring to achieve success. Anna rejoins the group after a brief absence, which pleases Chris, who harbors feelings for her. Inspired by Anna’s return, Sunil attempts to transform himself in hopes of winning her affection. However, during a performance at a friend’s wedding, Sunil notices the growing bond between Anna and Chris. Heartbroken, he tries to create discord between them but ends up entangled in his own lies. Anna, furious, slaps him and cuts off all communication, leading to Sunil’s expulsion from the band.
Fate takes a turn when Sunil saves the band from a disastrous performance at a local club, earning their forgiveness. Believing he has a chance with Anna again, Sunil is devastated to discover that Anna and Chris are in love and plan to marry. Despite his heartbreak, Sunil accepts the reality of losing Anna.
