Simultaneously, the officers receive a radio alert about nearby gunshots and rush to the scene.
The movie unfolds as a flashback, leading up to this moment. It revolves around a group of five men—Vikram, Seshadri, Shardul, Prakash, and Shiva—who operate a gambling club and engage in illegal deals. Seshadri receives a call from a police contact in Bengaluru, Kalyan, who offers “French furniture” (a code for drugs) worth Rs. 5 crore for Rs. 2.5 crore. Each member agrees to contribute Rs. 50 lakh to secure the deal, expecting significant profits.
Shiva is tasked with transporting the money to Bengaluru by train, meeting Kalyan, and returning with the goods. However, Vikram, who is secretly dating Shardul’s wife Mini and dreams of moving to Canada with her, devises a plan to steal the money. Using chloroform to render Shiva unconscious, Vikram executes his scheme. He travels to Pune under the alias Johnny G, checks into a hotel, then flies to Goa to establish an alibi with Seshadri’s friend, advocate Gomes.
The film masterfully builds suspense as it reveals the intricate web of deceit, betrayal, and ambition among the group, culminating in the intense opening scene.
