Description: Johnny English (2003) is a film about a well-meaning but bumbling MI7 employee who dreams of becoming the agency’s top agent. After a series of mishaps caused by his incompetence, including the accidental deaths of other agents, Johnny becomes the only remaining agent capable of completing a crucial mission. His task is to stop a plot to steal the recently restored Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. During the unveiling of the jewels at the Tower of London, Johnny meets the enigmatic Lorna Campbell. A sudden blackout allows the jewels to be stolen, and Johnny, in his chaotic efforts to respond, fabricates a suspect description to cover his mistakes. Alongside his assistant Angus Bough, Johnny uncovers a tunnel used by the thieves and encounters German criminals Dieter Klein and Klaus Vendetta. Despite multiple blunders, Johnny continues his investigation, which leads him to Pascal Sauvage, a French businessman involved in the restoration of the jewels. As Johnny digs deeper, he finds himself in increasingly absurd situations, including mistakenly landing on the wrong building during a mission. His encounters with Lorna and suspicions about her role in the events add to the intrigue. Johnny English is a comedic take on the spy genre, filled with slapstick humor and unexpected twists.
