Description: John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, released in 2019, continues the intense and action-packed journey of its titular character. After the unauthorized killing of High Table crime lord Santino D’Antonio on the neutral grounds of the New York Continental Hotel, John Wick is declared “excommunicado.” He sends his dog to safety with the hotel’s concierge, Charon, and retrieves a marker medallion and a rosary from the New York Public Library. Injured in a fight with another hitman, Ernest, John seeks medical treatment from an underworld doctor. However, his $14 million bounty activates before the treatment is complete, forcing him to finish suturing his wounds himself. As he leaves, he is relentlessly pursued by multiple gangs of assassins, all of whom he manages to defeat.
John approaches the “Director,” the leader of the Ruska Roma crime syndicate, presenting the rosary and requesting safe passage to Casablanca. Despite his past ties with the group, the Director hesitates but eventually assists him. Meanwhile, a High Table Adjudicator confronts Winston, the manager of the New York Continental, and the Bowery King, giving them seven days to step down for aiding John and indirectly opposing the Table’s rules. The Adjudicator enlists Zero, a skilled Japanese assassin, who is ordered to stab the Director through both hands as punishment for helping John.
In Casablanca, John reunites with Sofia, a former friend and manager of the Moroccan Continental. He presents the marker medallion, calling in a favor she owes him, and asks to be led to the “Elder,” the sole authority above the High Table. Reluctantly, Sofia takes him to her former boss, Berrada, who instructs John to wander the desert until he can no longer walk to find the Elder. In exchange, Berrada demands one of Sofia’s dogs. When she refuses, he shoots the dog, which survives thanks to its bulletproof vest. Despite her desire to kill Berrada, Sofia only wounds him after John intervenes.
