Description: In the present day, Lex Luthor and his Legion of Doom attempt to utilize cryogenic rays from orbital satellites to expand Earth’s polar ice caps in the Arctic Ocean. This drastic measure causes sea levels to drop significantly, creating new islands that they plan to control. Superman and the Justice League intervene, splitting their forces to combat the Legion and dismantle the satellites. During the space battle, Robin deliberately crashes Batman’s Batwing into the satellite array. Despite this, Captain Cold overloads the remaining satellite, causing it to fall back to Earth and trap Luthor in an ice sheet just before the satellite explodes. The Justice League emerges victorious, believing Luthor to be dead.
In the utopian future of the 31st century, teenage superheroes-in-training Dawnstar and Karate Kid visit a museum celebrating the Justice League’s legacy. They discover that Luthor, preserved in suspended animation for nearly a millennium after being excavated in the 29th century, is on display. Karate Kid accidentally awakens Luthor, who explores the museum, uncovers Superman’s secret identity, and finds the Eternity Glass—an ancient artifact capable of manipulating time and space. Armed with Captain Cold’s weapon, Luthor freezes the young heroes and summons the Time Trapper as his ally, traveling back to the moment of his last battle with the Justice League to seek revenge. Dawnstar and Karate Kid break free and pursue him.
Luthor resumes command of the Legion and orders the Time Trapper to send his forces back in time to prevent the Kent family from adopting Kal-El in Smallville. The young heroes seek the Justice League’s help, meeting them at the Hall of Justice in Washington, D.C. After clearing up a misunderstanding, they prove their story’s authenticity using Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth. The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg journey into the past to stop Bizarro, Toyman, Cheetah, and Solomon Grundy from sending baby Kal-El into space, while Superman and the remaining League members confront Luthor’s Legion in the present.
