The storyline revolves around an ancient order of skilled Jiu Jitsu fighters who, every six years, confront a ruthless race of alien invaders in a battle to save Earth. For millennia, Earth’s defenders have triumphed over these invaders, but the tide has turned, and the planet’s future now hangs in the balance.
The story begins in a Burmese jungle in Asia, where Jake Barnes, a celebrated war hero, is pursued by deadly flying stars (shurikens) under the command of Brax, the powerful alien leader. Jake is forced to flee to an oceanside cliff, where he is struck by the stars, falls into the ocean, and loses consciousness after hitting his head.
Jake is rescued by Wylie, a senior Jiu Jitsu fighter, who hands him over to two Burmese fishermen. They tend to his wounds and take him to a nearby military outpost, assuming he is one of their own. Miscommunication between an inexperienced translator and one of the fisherwomen leads to Jake being left at the outpost, where he gradually regains consciousness. However, he must recover his strength to face the challenges ahead.
Meanwhile, operatives at the outpost are puzzled by Jake’s mention of a recurring comet and a mysterious hole in a temple. An intelligence officer, Myra, attempts to interrogate Jake but discovers he suffers from amnesia and cannot recall the events that led to his discovery in the water.
After a tense confrontation, Myra injects Jake with a truth serum, but it fails to extract useful information. She concludes that his memory loss is genuine. As the operatives discuss Jake’s situation, Keung, an advanced Jiu Jitsu fighter, infiltrates the base, effortlessly defeating every guard in his path. The scene is filled with intense combat, including gunfire and hand-to-hand fights, as Keung overpowers his opponents.
