Description: Twelve years after exposing Operation Blackbriar and vanishing, Jason Bourne finally recovers from his amnesia. He isolates himself from the world, earning a living through brutal bareknuckle fights in Greece. Meanwhile, in Reykjavík, Nicky Parsons, working with a hacktivist group led by Christian Dassault, breaches the CIA’s mainframe to reveal its black ops programs. This attracts the attention of Heather Lee, the CIA’s cybersecurity head, and director Robert Dewey. Parsons uncovers documents about Bourne’s recruitment into Treadstone and his father’s involvement in the program. She travels to Athens to find and inform Bourne.
In Greece, Bourne and Parsons meet at Syntagma Square during a violent anti-government protest. They manage to evade CIA teams, but Parsons is shot by an ex-Blackbriar assassin with a personal vendetta against Bourne. Before dying, she gives Bourne a key to a locker containing critical CIA files. Seeking answers about his past and family, Bourne tracks down Dassault in Berlin.
Upon decrypting the files, Bourne learns that his father, Richard Webb, was a CIA analyst involved in Treadstone’s creation. However, a malware program in the files alerts the CIA to Bourne’s location. Dewey sends a team to capture him, while Lee remotely deletes the files. Dassault attacks Bourne but is neutralized. Lee warns Bourne of the approaching team, believing she can convince him to return to the agency. Following leads from Berlin, Bourne locates Malcolm Smith, a former Treadstone operative, in London and arranges to meet him at Paddington Plaza.
