Description: Samar Anand, a courageous major in the Indian Army, fearlessly defuses a bomb, disregarding his own safety. Later, Akira Rai, a filmmaker for the Discovery Channel, is rescued by Samar after she dives into a river in Ladakh. Samar lends her his jacket but leaves before retrieving it. Akira discovers his diary in the jacket pocket and starts reading it. The diary recounts Samar’s earlier life as a struggling immigrant in London, where he worked as a street musician and took on various odd jobs to support himself and his roommate, Zain. While working part-time as a waiter, Samar meets Meera at her engagement party with her fiancé, Roger. Meera, raised in a wealthy Punjabi family after her mother left when she was twelve, often prays at the church. Samar and Meera grow closer after a night of spontaneous street dancing. To help Meera confront her past, Samar takes her to visit her estranged mother, leading to reconciliation. However, when Meera decides to confess her relationship with Samar to her father and end her engagement, Samar is involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Meera prays for his life, vowing never to see him again if he survives. Samar recovers, but Meera admits her promise to him, leaving Samar heartbroken. He challenges God, believing that only his death could make Meera lose her faith. He moves to India, joins the army, and becomes a bomb-disposal expert. After finishing the diary, Akira seeks permission to create a documentary about bomb-disposal squads and asks Samar for assistance, eventually getting to know him and his team.
