The story revolves around a daring heist where an armored truck carrying $100 million is ambushed by a criminal group known as the “Ronin Gang” at a traffic junction near a jewelry store. The attackers use explosives and gunfire, killing all the security guards except one and severely injuring several police officers. Tragically, a woman in the jewelry shop also loses her life.
Six months later, the gang resurfaces in Hong Kong, injuring more police officers during a routine inspection. Among the affected are CID detective Chan Chun, whose fiancée was the woman killed in the earlier attack, and Trainee Inspector Carson Fong Yik-wai. Both officers vow to bring the gang to justice.
The plot thickens with the introduction of rookie cop Wai King-ho, whose older brother, Wai King-tat, a police officer, has gone missing. Suspected of joining the criminal gang, King-ho is suspended from duty and later confronted by Chan and Fong. After a rescue during a nightclub altercation, the three form an alliance to track down the gang.
Their investigation leads them to Little Tiger, a gang member captured by Chan, who is forced to reveal the gang’s hideout. However, the gang strikes back, killing Tiger and injuring Chan and his team.
Meanwhile, it is revealed that the surviving security guard, Ho Wing-keung, the manager of the security company, had colluded with the gang to orchestrate the heist. After faking a mental breakdown to evade the gang, Ho is tracked down to a psychiatric hospital. Chan, Fong, and King-ho pursue the gang but fail to prevent Ho’s escape.
In a final showdown, the gang hijacks a mini-bus with children and takes King-ho hostage. The film culminates in a tense pursuit as the officers fight to bring the criminals to justice and avenge their losses.
