Description: Ice Cream is a Bangladeshi coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Redoan Rony and produced by Shukla Banik under Ping Pong Entertainment. The movie stars Sariful Razz, Kumar Uday, and Nazifa Tushi, with supporting roles played by ATM Shamsuzzaman, Omar Sani, Parveen Sultana Diti, and Sayem Sadat. It was released on April 29, 2016. Minar Rahman began his playback singing career with this film. The soundtrack includes two songs composed by Kumar Biswajit, sung by the late Bari Siddiqui and Momtaz.
Proshoon Rahman, the filmmaker behind “Sutopar Thikana” and “Jonmobhumi,” premiered both movies at the IFFSA Toronto in 2016 and 2019, respectively, earning critical acclaim. His third feature, “Dhaka Dream,” is set to represent Bangladesh at the 2021 International Film Festival of South Asia, Toronto (IFFSA Toronto). This festival is the largest South Asian film event in North America and the second-largest in Canada. The film is scheduled to premiere on August 20 at 6:30 PM Bangladeshi time. It received its censor certificate earlier this year and is expected to release in theaters in early September, depending on the COVID-19 situation. Produced by Imitation Creator, “Dhaka Dream” features a star-studded cast, including Fazlur Rahman Babu, Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Monira Mithu, Abdullah Rana, Jayita Mahalanobish, and Manoj Kumar.
