The story revolves around Rahul, a wealthy city boy from Kolkata, raised by billionaire parents. On the other hand, Puja is a simple, traditional girl from a village in West Bengal, brought up by her elder brother, Indra. Their lives take a turn after their father remarries and forces them out of the house, leaving them humiliated. Following their mother’s death, they face further struggles when the local zamindar claims the land where her tomb is built, as she had taken a loan from him. Determined to protect their mother’s resting place, Indra agrees to work tirelessly to repay the debt.
As time passes, Puja and Indra grow up together. One day, Puja’s best friend, Barsha, invites her to her wedding. Barsha’s brother, Rahul, who has just returned from the UK after completing his studies, also arrives. Over time, Rahul and Puja fall in love. However, Rahul’s father, Shantonu Chowdhury, disapproves of their relationship due to Puja’s modest background. He humiliates Puja and her brother, accusing them of manipulating Rahul and forces them out of their home. Upon learning about this, Rahul seeks Puja’s forgiveness and pleads with her brother for acceptance.
Indra agrees to give Rahul a chance, much like the zamindar once did for him. Rahul is tasked with taking care of the cows, maintaining the farm, and growing more crops than Indra by the end of the season. If he fails, he will be banished from the village and never allowed to see Puja again.
The film explores themes of love, perseverance, and societal differences, showcasing the challenges faced by the couple as they strive to overcome obstacles together.
