**Storyline:**
In the era of Kievan Rus, a young princess named Miroslava, affectionately called Mira, is engaged to Igor. Her father and sister, Yaroslava, view her as immature due to her fascination with fairy tales and toys. Following an ancient tradition, Mira is dressed in her bridal attire and placed on a boat to be sent across the water to her future husband. As Igor pulls the boat toward him, his people sing an ancient wedding song.
During the ceremony, a dragon suddenly captures Mira and takes her to a cave. There, she encounters a mysterious young man who has forgotten his name. Mira assumes he is another captive and names him Arman. However, she soon discovers that Arman is, in fact, the dragon who abducted her. He lives in human form, suppressing his inner beast, but occasionally transforms into a dragon involuntarily. In his dragon form, Arman loses all control.
Arman introduces Mira to the island and provides her with a place to build a home. He reveals that male dragons once inhabited the island. As a child, he was given the choice to remain human or become a dragon, and he initially chose humanity. However, after a dragon slayer killed his father, Arman’s grief and rage triggered his transformation into a dragon. Upon gaining the collective knowledge of his ancestors, he realized the monstrous nature of dragons and isolated himself on the island to prevent harming humans. When he feels the uncontrollable urge to transform, he retreats to the cave to contain the dragon.
Arman explains that he abducted Mira because of an ancient ritual song sung at her wedding. Believing dragons to be extinct, the villagers’ song caught Arman off guard, leaving him no time to hide in the cave before the song compelled him to act.
