**Storyline:**
In 1994, a young girl named Ntombizonke Bapai was abducted along with several other girls and taken to the compound of National Party cabinet minister FJ Nolte (Deon Lotz). Many of the girls were sold into human trafficking. When Ntombizonke was deemed “used up,” she and the others were sent to a low-end brothel, where their lives in this dark world continued.
Years later, Ntombizonke (Hlubi Mboya) collaborates with the police, working alongside Jodie Snyman (Erica Wessels). After a failed trafficking bust, Jodie is reassigned to a murder case. She soon discovers that the murder—a pedophile found dead in a park with initials carved into his chest—is connected to the sex trafficking crimes she has been investigating.
As Jodie delves deeper, more bodies with similar initials appear around the city. She realizes these initials belong to a group of girls kidnapped in the 1990s. Despite her efforts to expose the truth and bring the perpetrators to justice, her progress is constantly hindered by red tape and corruption. The situation grows more complicated as evidence suggests that the murderer of these men may be linked to the police.
Even as her supervisor threatens to put her on leave and obstacles arise, Jodie remains determined to uncover the truth. *I Am All Girls* draws parallels to films like *Òlòturé*, Netflix’s Nigerian sex-trafficking drama, as well as thrillers such as *Taken*, *The Whistleblower*, and *Sicario*.
The film features outstanding performances from its leads, with Hlubi Mboya delivering an extraordinary portrayal of Ntombizonke Bapai, the avenging angel. Mboya’s performance is the emotional core of the film, as she navigates her dual life—working with the police by day and seeking justice on her own terms by night.
