**Storyline:**
In 2014, journalist Elizabeth investigates a story involving Dorothy, also known as Destiny, a former stripper, and her mentor Ramona Vega. The story traces back to seven years earlier when Destiny worked at a New York City strip club called Moves to support her grandmother. Struggling financially, Destiny is captivated by Ramona’s success and charisma. The two form a close bond, becoming a powerful duo in the club. Destiny thrives with newfound wealth and a strong friendship with Ramona.
However, the 2008 financial crisis shatters their lives, leaving them jobless and disconnected. Destiny becomes a single mother struggling to make ends meet. Desperate, she returns to dancing only to find the club drastically changed, with fewer clients and dancers resorting to extreme measures to earn money.
Reconnecting with Ramona, Destiny is introduced to a new scheme. Ramona and her protégées lure wealthy men into their trap, drugging their drinks with a mix of ketamine and MDMA, then taking them to the club to exploit their credit cards. This hustle proves highly profitable, but as others copy their methods, Ramona decides to cut ties with the club and operate independently, recruiting women with troubled pasts to join their operation. Over time, cracks begin to form in their risky enterprise.
