Description: Anjali Patekar arrives in Mumbai in search of a job. She finds affordable accommodation by pretending to be married to a stranger, Nandu Apte, an aspiring musician. Meanwhile, Jitendra “Jeetu” Sahai has just launched his electronics business. His friend Anil Singh poses as the son of a wealthy businessman, Radhe Shyam Tiwari, and collaborates with his servant Pandu to deceive Kachra Seth into quickly arranging an engagement with his daughter Madhuri. At the same time, Radhe Shyam Tiwari, who lives in a village with his wife Anjali Tiwari, relocates to the city. Upon hearing of Radhe’s arrival, Pandu urges Anil to disappear.
Anjali visits Radhe’s villa hoping to secure a job. Jeetu arrives at the villa to repair a stereo he sold to Radhe, mistaking Anjali for Radhe’s daughter. Unable to get a job at the villa, Anjali later encounters Jeetu when she responds to a job opening at his store. Believing her to be Radhe’s daughter, Jeetu hires her immediately, and Anjali continues the pretense to keep the job. After work, Jeetu drops Anjali off at Radhe’s villa, assuming she lives there, while she exits the villa after he leaves. Jeetu frequently visits the villa asking for Anjali, and Mrs. Tiwari notices the real Anjali often outside the villa, leading the Tiwari couple to suspect each other of having affairs with their younger counterparts.
Meanwhile, Nandu begins to develop feelings for his roommate Anjali. Additionally, Nandu’s landlord’s wife becomes infatuated with him and pressures him to elope with her. A phone misunderstanding leads Jeetu to believe Anjali loves him. Around the same time, Raja, the son of Anjali’s village landlord, arrives in the city to marry her, but Nandu frightens him away. Raja ends up hiding in the same lodge as Anil. Frustrated by Anil’s disappearance, Kachra Seth visits Radhe to arrange Madhuri’s marriage to Anil.
