Description: In the opening scene, Wolverine reflects on his life, admitting, “I’m the best at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice.” He wakes up disoriented in a mountain crater, wondering what happened, when he hears a roar in the distance. Suddenly, the Hulk leaps from a cliff and confronts him. Wolverine calmly responds, “Oh yeah…” The story then flashes back to earlier events.
Department H assigns Wolverine to track down a destructive creature, known as the Hulk, wreaking havoc in the Canadian wilderness. While inspecting a devastated town, Wolverine detects a toxic odor and the smell of gunpowder. He continues his pursuit into the wilderness, where he encounters a frail man crying by a lake. After questioning him, Wolverine realizes the man shares the same toxic scent as the creature that attacked the town.
Ignoring warnings, Wolverine aggressively interrogates the man, who unexpectedly transforms into the Hulk and hurls Wolverine off a cliff. The story then returns to the present, where Wolverine and the Hulk engage in a fierce battle. Their fight remains evenly matched until Team X—comprising Deadpool, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, and Sabretooth—intervenes by tranquilizing them. As Wolverine loses consciousness, Deadpool mocks him, saying, “Logan, buddy! It’s me, Deadpool! I shot you…”
