Description: Arun Neelakandan, a young man from Kerala, enrolls at KC Tech, a renowned engineering college in Chennai, to pursue his graduation. Upon arrival, he immediately falls for Darshana, the college sweetheart. Their relationship blossoms after Arun faces ragging from his seniors. One day, Arun accompanies his friend Antony to meet Antony’s online girlfriend. During the meeting, Arun is drawn to her colleague and lies about being single. Just as they are about to share a kiss, they are interrupted by moral police. Overcome with guilt, Arun confesses to Darshana, who angrily ends their relationship. In the heat of the argument, they both vow to find better partners than each other.
After the breakup, Arun’s life spirals downward. In his second year, he starts ragging juniors and consuming alcohol. He begins dating Maya but remains unhappy. Meanwhile, Darshana considers dating Kedar, whom Arun knows to be a womanizer. Arun warns her, but Darshana dismisses it as jealousy. Later, Arun’s warning proves true when Darshana slaps Kedar after discovering his true nature. Kedar threatens to spread rumors about her, but Arun steps in, beats him up, and silences him. Back home, Arun’s parents notice his struggles and his father advises him to quit alcohol and start afresh.
Arun moves out of his shared hostel room to a more peaceful environment. Alongside Antony, he enrolls in coaching classes run by their classmate Selva and begins to excel academically. Darshana later joins the same coaching class and starts to admire the new, changed Arun. Maya ends her relationship with Arun after her father’s death. Tragedy strikes when Selva dies in a bus accident, leaving the entire class in grief. On the final day of college, students are led into a room called “the secret alley” to leave messages for future batches. Arun, however, finds himself unable to write anything. As Darshana accompanies him to the train station, she asks if they would still be together had they not argued four years ago. Arun has no answer to give.
