**Storyline:**
Following the events of the first film, Mavis and her new husband Johnny finally tie the knot, with the blessing of her father, Dracula. The world has now become aware of monsters and no longer fears them. Mavis soon announces to Dracula that she is expecting a child and later gives birth to a red-haired baby boy named Dennis.
As Dennis approaches his fifth birthday, Dracula grows concerned because Dennis has not yet developed his vampire fangs. Worried that his grandson may not inherit vampire powers, Dracula fears for the future. Mavis, noticing the potential dangers of Transylvania, begins considering moving to California, where Johnny grew up, much to Dracula’s dismay.
To delay Mavis’s decision, Dracula convinces Johnny to take her to California to visit his parents, Mike and Linda, while he stays behind to “babysit” Dennis. Determined to awaken Dennis’s inner monster, Dracula enlists the help of his friends—Frank, Wayne, Griffin, Murray, and Blobby. Despite their efforts, Dennis shows no signs of transforming.
Dracula takes Dennis to his childhood summer camp, Camp Winnepacaca, where he once honed his vampire skills. However, the camp is now much safer than in Dracula’s time. Convinced that Dennis is simply a “late fanger,” Dracula pushes him off a tall, unstable tower to force his transformation into a bat. Dennis fails to change, and Dracula must swoop in at the last moment to save him.
The incident is captured on video by campers and uploaded online, eventually reaching Mavis and Johnny. Furious, Mavis transforms into a bat and rushes back to Transylvania with Johnny. Dracula and his friends arrive shortly after, only to be confronted by Mavis, who berates her father for endangering Dennis and failing to accept that he might be human.
