**Storyline:**
On November 26, 2008, Arjun, a young waiter, begins his shift at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, India, under the guidance of head chef Hemant Oberoi. Oberoi emphasizes to his staff that “The guest is God.” Among the hotel guests are British-Iranian heiress Zahra Kashani, her American husband David, their infant son Cameron, and their nanny Sally. Also staying at the hotel is Vasili, a former Russian special forces operative.
That night, a group of ten terrorists associated with the organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, orchestrated by a man known as “the Bull,” launches a coordinated attack on multiple locations across Mumbai, including the hotel. With local police ill-equipped to handle the situation, they must wait for special forces to arrive from New Delhi. Chaos ensues, trapping Arjun, David, Zahra, and Vasili in the hotel restaurant, while Sally and Cameron remain unaware of the situation in their room.
David manages to sneak past the terrorists and reunites with Sally and Cameron. Following Oberoi’s instructions, Arjun leads the guests to the Chambers Lounge, a hidden club within the hotel, where they hope to find safety. David, Sally, and Cameron attempt to join them, but David is captured by the terrorists, while Sally and Cameron hide in a closet. David is taken hostage and tied up in a separate room.
Elsewhere, police officers DC Vam and his partner enter the hotel to reach the security room and monitor the terrorists’ movements. Arjun tries to help a severely injured guest, Bree, escape to a hospital. However, Bree panics and is shot by a terrorist. Arjun guides the police to the security room, where they discover that the terrorists are about to breach the Chambers Lounge using the ID of a slain officer. DC Vam orders Arjun to stay behind as he confronts the terrorists, successfully injuring one named Imran before retreating.
