Yet, *Horror in the High Desert* surprised me. Director Dutch Marich, whom I connected with on social media, reached out for a review of his latest project. I agreed and decided to give it a watch.
At first, the film’s slow pace almost led me to write a negative review. However, as the story unfolded, I found myself increasingly drawn in. The mockumentary-style narrative gradually builds tension, much like the early episodes of *Trailer Park Boys*, which start slow but eventually become compelling. *Horror in the High Desert* follows a similar pattern, rewarding viewers who stick with it. While the beginning may test patience, the film’s suspense and eerie atmosphere make it worth the wait.
