Description: Horizon Line is a 2023 movie that follows the story of Sara, who is at an island bar preparing to go home. Her boyfriend asks for one more drink before she leaves, then steps out of the bar, presumably to the bathroom. Sara departs without saying goodbye, as she dislikes farewells.
A year later, in London, Sara takes a cab to the airport to attend a wedding in Mauritius. There, she reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, Jackson. Missing the last boat to the wedding venue on Rodrigues, she boards a small plane piloted by her friend, Freddy Wyman, who is also attending the wedding. To her surprise, Jackson has also arranged to fly with Freddy.
During the flight, Freddy invites Sara to sit in the co-pilot seat while Jackson sleeps. Tragedy strikes when Freddy suffers a heart attack and dies, causing the plane to go into freefall. Sara and Jackson regain control, but the autopilot is damaged. With Freddy having taught her some basics, Sara must now fly the plane to safety.
They manage to contact Samuel, a local air traffic controller, via shortwave radio, who attempts to guide them. However, they must first navigate through a storm. They survive the storm but sustain damage to their communication systems in the process.
