Description: So-won, a young girl, lives a peaceful life with her parents, Dong-hoon and Mi-hee. One tragic day, she is kidnapped, brutally assaulted, and left for dead while on her way to school. Miraculously, she survives and manages to call for help. Her parents are notified and rush to the hospital, where they are devastated to see the severity of her injuries. So-won undergoes multiple surgeries, and doctors inform her family that she will need a colostomy bag for the rest of her life.
After regaining consciousness, So-won identifies her attacker with the help of a psychiatrist, Jung-sook. The man is arrested, and the case becomes a media sensation, causing further distress to So-won and her family. To shield her from the invasive attention, Dong-hoon moves her to a different room at the hospital.
So-won begins to show signs of post-traumatic stress disorder, even mistaking her father for her attacker when he tries to assist her. Dong-hoon is deeply heartbroken when she avoids speaking to him or making eye contact. Meanwhile, Mi-hee initially rejects psychological support for her daughter, hoping she can return to a normal life. However, she eventually agrees to seek help from Jung-sook after realizing the extent of So-won’s trauma.
The family faces financial struggles due to So-won’s medical expenses. Dong-hoon considers quitting his job to care for her, but his friend and manager, Gwang-sik, convinces him to stay employed while providing financial assistance. The family remains determined to support So-won through her recovery.
